On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned call records and data obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most widely reported investigations and is still unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine had been, but I know what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I am she? What then? Is that not significant for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the message continued.

The jury was told that by means of emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with law enforcement who gathered the information, advised the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to family friends of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I will persist and I plan to establish my point."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg struck up a relationship online with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' property in that area in last December.

Phone records demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the time preceding the visit to that location, the county, in that winter.

The court heard correspondence between the two individuals, in November 2024, planning trying to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her bins or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which expressed: "We are positioned near the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark similar to detectives. I wanted to achieve this with another person I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
